Andrea Marcato, a 39 years old athlete, originally from Dolo Italy, near Venice, won the 25th Annual Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race. He finished in  42 days+17:38:38, a personal best by over 18 hours. Mr Marcato becomes the third fastest runner in the history of this super-long event. He ran 30 straight days in succession at over 70+ miles/ 113 km. He ran exceedingly fast in the last three laps to overtake the previous third place listed runner all-time by a mere 1 minute and 21 seconds. It appears that Andrea has all the tools to dominate the 3100 Mile Race for another decade.
