Day 40 With near perfect running weather this morning and evening, nine of the eleven reached 60 miles or more. Atmavir Spacil had an excellent outing with 75.73 miles. Vasu Duzhiy reached 71.34 miles but trails second place by 99 miles. Galya Balatskyy in second astounds again with 71.69 miles, working towards a sunday or monday finish. He has 40 straight 70's. The limelight is on Ashprihanal Aalto, though, as he has reached a date with history. Friday afternoon, sometime between 2:15 and 4;30, he will enter the record books as the all-time fastest runner at 3100 miles. Today he cruised to a 77.38 mile venture, as messages started to pour in from all over. He needs 77 laps more to reach 3100 miles( 42.26 miles). He will be the only man in the 19 year history of the race to ever finish in the 41st day. Check out the webcam or the blogs at 3100.srichinmoyraces.org if you cannot escape from work or are on the other side of the pond. Happy running folks.
