Day 14, September 13, 2023

Andrea Marcato, the 41 year old Italian who has dominated the previous three versions of the Sri Chinmoy 3100 Mile Race, pasted the 1000 mile mark in a personal best of 13 Days+07:12:25, the tenth best performance on a road course in long distance history. He pasted his own best by nearly nine hours, and seemed ready to continue his efforts as there are still 2,100 miles to be covered before his efforts are complete.

Tomorrow, on Wednesday, the Taiwanese woman Tsai Wen-Ya, currently in second overall, should finish her first 1000 Mile performance. We will see another great performance in the worlds  longest race, although there may be more rain showers on Wednesday morning from 6:00am to midday. We shall see. Wen-Ya has 33.5 miles to reach the 1000 mile mark.
