Tom Andrews, Minneapolis

Namitabha the Great!  CONGRATULATIONS!......CONGRATULATIONS! ............CONGRATU-U-U-LATIONS!
Congratulations on the conclusion of your epic journey.  Meaningful words fail me.  The mind struggles to come to terms with the enormity of all your achievements.  Numbers and distances almost seem superficial.  Beyond the outer achievements the whole experience touches a deeper part of your being.  As Andreas, Trishul, Suprabha,  Abichal and Matt draw closer to the outer goal we will all be left with a myriad of thoughts, ideas, emotions and experiences of these last seven weeks.
CONGRATULATIONS!......CONGRATULATIONS! ............CONGRATU-U-U-LATIONS!
TARIT, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Hi Suprabha!!Less than 400 miles to go!! I hope you're having a great race -I've thought of you often this summer running all those laps day after day, it's very useful inspiration if I'm feeling tired at the end of a "long" run!! We've just seen a great photo of you and Savita on the web site , you both looked very cheerful! Good luck for the last "few" miles, I'm sure you are still smiling and making running 3100 miles look far easier than I'm sure it is.
In total awe of your tremendous capacity!
Shyamala (and Dhavala too!)

Congratulations Namitabha and Andreas! A mighty achievement to encourage and inspire all the world! What you
have done is tremendous.
Asthaloy, Seattle

For Namitabha, Congratulations, You are the inspiration of all Macedonians.
Thank you. Aleksandar, Macedonia

Go Trishul, Go! Best wishes from the Prawda Family

Getting everyone here in San Francisco up to the latest on each of your progress and running news!

Namitabha, I've never seen our dishwasher, Petar, smile so much as when I told him all about your champion-like running form and consciousness out there in the race! His English suddenly became quite good as he told us all about running along with you in the first week of the race! We are anxiously anticipating your finish this weekend! Very, very proud and excited for your victory!  Suprabha! We are with you every step of the way. Keep up the drinking  :)   :)  and smiling! You are doing so incredibly well and have been braving the miles like a true hero warrior! Wish I could be there to "chat" you through the late laps - definitely I'm there in spirit - straight through till your final lap! Abichal, Matt, Andreas, and Trishul - keep it going! Can you imagine it is already August? The final days are here for each of you and we can't wait to hear you have reached your 3100 Mile Goal!
Ahelee, San Francisco

Dear Friends, Thanks for your welcome on Thursday. You blew my mind as we spoke and ran together around the eternal loop of concrete. Unbelievable even thinking about it days later. It was a thrill to meet so many of you – Matt, Trishul, Abichal and Suprabha. I have taken your offer to step beyond my own ideas and I’ll run a 3 day 100 mile event early September. I am deeply grateful for your time and conversations. That inspired me as much as your heroic feats. Good luck and maybe we can run together in the near future. I wrote a message to my brothers and sisters here in our spiritual group – The Impersonal Enlightenment Fellowship – to tell them about what you are doing. I’ve never received so much response. Everybody is impressed by your spirit and surrender. They send their best wishes and support (about 100 people) for your limitation shattering efforts and results.
Much love, Laurie

Hi Namitabha, Only a few more hours left to the Goal. Victory, Victory, Victory!!!
Gratitude, Jadranka

Hi Matt,
It is Kevin Cassidy here from AURA [Australian Ultra Runners Association]. I have been following your progress with much interest and am very impressed with your achievement in this event. I will be featuring your achievement in our quarterly magazine known as "Ultramag". Once you have recovered from this event, I was wondering if you may possibly put something in writing about your experiences.
Cheers and congratulations, Kevin Cassidy, Australia

Hello, everybody! I'm home, enjoying one of the videos of the race. Thanks to you all for everything you are
doing form the Supreme and His Creation. Abichal, I am still fascinated by your "stream of consciousness" interview in the race video. It has such positive energy! Imagine interviewing someone as they climb Everest!

Hi Namitabha,
CONGRATULATIONS, CONGRATULATIONS....
Our gratefull hearts are singing this song with joy.
On behalf of all Yugoslavians
Jadranka

Magnificent Matt. 2000 achievements!!!!!! Keep on keping on. We hope you can feel our support and all our admiration for this stunning progress on the way to the goal.
2000 best wishes from Nick File and your N.Z. friends.

Hi Abichal, greetings and admiration from the Newzealand centres. We are looking forward to reading the poetry that comes to you on your magnificent journey.
What an inspiration . Keep on, keeping on, our brother, the "Never give up" example to all of us.
Best wishes and support, from Nick File and NZ Friends.

att: Matt Boulton: Hey, Matt! Congratulations! It is
incredible to see the amount of inspiration that
every step you take seems to generate. In this age of
over-analysis, I just want to say: Good going, mate!
and let you know that not only you, but all the
runners have inspired me to train again and run my
first marathon in the last 7 years! So, thank you all,
and if anybody needs anything, just call me at the
health food store!- Kamalakanta NYC

Dear Suprabha, Andreas, Abichal, Namitabha,  Trishul and Matt,
dear heroes!

I am thinking on you unimaginable effort and admiring you very much!! I hope that it is not toooo hot. On Sunday we had 36 and in one part of the country more than 40 Grad Celsius. This is very unusual for us and therefore we are suffering - but we have not to run!!! I am praying for you, that everything and everybody is fine until the end. Now the end is approaching you very fast. But I know, that it is very easy this to say or to write!

All the best - all love, light, delight, joy, endurance, hope and confidence, ....
Best wishes from Paula and everybody in Salzburg

Matt, Well done mate. Your doing Australia proud. We know its pretty tough out there in the humidity and heat. Hang in there because the end is in sight. Congratulations on passing the 2000 mile mark.
Best wishes, Amalendu

To Matt / Abichal / Namitabha and the other selfless-immortal runners.
• To say that you inspire is an understatement!
• What you are quietly and so powerfully achieving is making it impossible for the rest of us not to re-evaluate our own goals and inner sense of what is possible.
• We salute you and pray for your ongoing victory.
From Simahin and your many friends, admirers and well-wishers in New Zealand-Australia.

Hey Matt,
Congratulations on completing 2000 miles. Awesome! I'm feeling inspired to come running with you next year. Tee hee! We're all dreaming of your 2700 mile+ destination-victory! Keep up your supremely inspiring efforts!
Warren and all the Melbourne team.

Hallo Andreas!

Matty M8 !   The Wallabies might have lost to the All Blacks tonight here in Sydney and Thorpie lost his form in the pool; but our island home proudly has the Thunder from Downunder in New York who is the true strength-of-spirit medal winner!
To our living example that 'silence is the language of the heart' , the quiet Matt, is our greatest voice right now for Australians.   You have inspired me personally to health recovery by your own dedication, faith and determination! Day 38 - Tuesday 22nd July 2003

By Atulya Berube
14 December

A hot and humid  morning heated up even more with the sun’s arrival, but a relentless series of thundershowers took over after the lunch hour, pelting the runners and the course with several inches of rain. Namitabha Arsic withstood the worst of the rainstorms to cover 61.4656 soggy miles. Andreas, Matt and Trishul all topped 54 miles, as the series of storms continued into the night. They were probably dreaming of thunder and lightning as nature’s onslaught continued overnight.

A great champion is he who transcends his own personal records
A great champion is he who remains happy
even when he cannot maintain his own standard
A great champion is he who has established his inseparable oneness with the winner and loser alike
Then he really is a great champion.

We who keenly watch your mammoth efforts each day should constantly we aware that we can all achieve so much more in our lives. Trishul, Keep up the good work. The Red Sox are still in contention for the Wilcard slot and by the time you are done, we'll probably be in the Word Series! Carry on.
Marc Witkes, USA

As many of us who know him feel, one of the most inspiring runners in the 3100 is  our Australian brother Matt Boulton, who had the faith to enter the 3100 mile race  based on little ultra running experience. He has remarkably continued this journey  and just last Thursday after more than a month of running, set a personal best daily  mileage of 70 miles (the best mark that day of any runner).

Sri Chinmoy had expressed a wish to have 7 runners in this year's race and had  invited people to apply that ordinarily may not have based on the stringent  requirements of running many previous ultra races. Matt heard this in Canberra and  immediately applied, a sincere testimony of his faith in himself and in his teacher. Matt really is a tremendous inspiration to all of us. Thanks Matt.
Sanjay, NYC

Hi, Matt! I had heard of your incredible accomplishment of 70+ miles on day 33 of the 3,100 mile race, but haven't been able to get to a computer until now. Marvellous, magnificent, ahh-mazing! Thank-you once again, on behalf of everyone around the globe for what you are doing.
Prashphutita Melbourne, Australia

All Matt's friends in the Canberra Centre (and that's all of us) are  thrilled and sincerely grateful for your words of appreciation.

There are defining moments in our lives when we face choices: whether to leap forward into the unknown, or remain with what we know and are comfortable with.

Matt has taken one such gigantic leap forward into the unknown,  relying entirely on faith. He heard that he was accepted into the race less than a week before it commenced, and 3 hours after he  applied. With scarcely a word, he packed a few items, told his work  he'd be gone for some time, finished the design for this year's  Triple-Triathlon entry form (well, that race is held in late
November, and he knew he'd be running for a long while), and boarded a plane to the other side of the world with virtually no idea what  lay ahead. He had no helper, no provisions, no plans, just a couple  of pairs of running shoes.

Training? There was no training.

There were times, especially during the second week of the race when  it seemed certain he would not be able to continue, with shin splints  and other problems reducing him to a shuffle. Yet he hasn't just 'hung in there.' He shocked and amazed everyone on Thursday  (Day 33) with his 70 mile effort, the highest of any runner on any  day since Day 1. Other runners urged him to slow up, but he just couldn't help himself, with no thought of tomorrow. It's as though  he's broken free from this world, flying and dancing in another realm.

He's now run further than any Australian in a certified race. Whatever milestones he may now pass (3,000 km for example) will become Australian National Records.

It's been noted that he's getting more messages of support than the other runners. Indeed, he's developed a truly international 'fan club,' many of whom have never met him. That's simply because we acknowledge not just his running performance, but more especially the mind-boggling leap of faith that has catapulted a quiet, humble, unassuming Clark Kent in one bound into a Superman cloak of his own. We see that he's doing it for us, that if "our Matt" can go forth, challenge and smash the barriers of impossibility, then maybe so can we...

He's certainly our hero here. Whenever someone is facing some challenge, difficulty or unwillingness, our catch-cry has become: "Think of Matty!" And it's working for all of us, on many levels.

This is the stuff of legends. This is the kind of effort, bringing forward the inner hero, which will inspire and energise dauntless hearts for centuries to come.

Well done, Matt.

Prachar, Canberra, Australia

14 December

Andreas Puntigam took day honors with 62.0144 miles. Matt Boulton and Namitabha Arsic followed the way with 60.3680 miles each, as the moderate summer weather continued.  Suprabha Beckjord passed the 2000 mile mark for the eighth time in her running life (34+02:07:16) .The first five weeks have proven that this race is still one of the hardest races in the world. The weather, the course, the daily mileage, the distance itself are all challenges that only the strong and brave can overcome.

We're busy preparing things for October here so have been speaking to lots of ultra runners around the country.  We've been amazed at how many have mentioned how closely they are following your progress and how inspired they are by your efforts.  You may not realise just how far reaching your hard work and determination is reaching.  You are leading the way for your fellow countrymen and your country is right behind you. Keep it up and enjoy every moment.

Matt, 70 miles is a fantastic achievement for someone who has already been running for over a month. You never cease to amaze us with your miracles. Keep up the good work.

Matt, your amazing day blew us all away. Grace descends when we pass the mind’s barriers. Keep it up good guy, and all our sincere best wishes and support, are with you in your actions as a true heroe. Way to go Matt.

Matt seems to be getting lots of virtual Aussie cheer messages ...... (and rightly so) but the Celtic virtual cheer leaders are in full swing and here's a message from a Cornishman living in Scotland with a deep love of Abichal's home country of Wales.  May the Celtic spirits (amongst others) inspire you in your journey.  May your heart feel the valleys of Wales and the HIghlands of Scotland as you glide across the miles in New York.  Keep it steady but let’s have an Abichal charge every now and then.

SUPRABHA!    NAMITABHA!     ABICHAL!     MATT!    ANDREAS!     TRISHUL!   OUR HERO RUNNERS!
Everyday here in San Francisco, we watch your results posted on the site - breathlessly!!
Your running is so absolutely inspiring ... each time I start to do something that seems hard, all I have to do is think of the running you are doing each day out on the course in Queens and I go on and just do it!
I made a chart to post in the restaurant that I update everyday with your miles and photos and the daily updates. If I don't post it right when I arrive - people always start asking about what is happening at the 3100 today
Suprabha!  I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU!! Sunday evening - ok! This 7th 3100 Race is so significant for us all - but I tell you, the girls everywhere are filled with so much love and pride and gratitude for your running effort again this year!
Abichal! What a great transcendence for you! I thought The English Channel was next... Well, after this 3100 Race, The Channel will feel easy - cold, but easy!
Matt! You blew us all away with that 70 miler! AWESOME and keep up the amazing effort.
What an inspiration you are to so many runners who think they might someday like to try this multi-day running!
Namitaba, Andreas and Trishul! Everyday your miles bring you closer to the goal and we are watching the them in wonder and with such admiration! We especially love to see the great photos showing the camaraderie and support between all of you.
Thank you!    Thank you!    Thank you!
