Day 11

Luckily the announced rain started later than expected, at around 10:30 and ended also quicker as announced, after approximately 2,5 hours.

After having been treated by our physical therapist, Bernd from Germany, at 20:30 Andrea had a fantastic 'sprint' until midnight and closed with 114,8 km ( 71,3 miles) which made him the winner of the day. Andrea likes the cooler weather. Little rain is no problem for him. The rain has to be strong that he uses a coat, otherwise he just runs in his shirts.

The runners used umbrellas to protect their shoes and their clothes from the rain as the rain got stronger. Fortunately it was only about an hour of strong rain. Luckily the whole day was still warm..

Nirbhasa happily moved on to cover again solid 109,5 km and could go home at 23:35. It seems his brother Sadanand is of great help to him.

Ushika remained steady the whole day and was impressed by Bernd’s treatment. He reached 99,1 km at midnight.

Milan although being extremely tired from the very morning on covered for the first time since 9 days the needed 96 km. Bravo Milan! You are back into the race.

Milan also got a very painful but at the same time extremely healing muscle and foot treatment from Bernd.

Thank you very much Bernd. Please come more often!

Ananda-Lahari might describe the day : " It is between the Supreme and me", nobody and nothing can help me. He basically walked the whole day in his common silent and soft manner and reached 77,2 km at midnight. Hopefully we can see him fly soon, of course only if the Supreme allows....

More splits to share

Ananda-Lahari Zuscin-   1000km- 10+09:57:16- his 18th time through the 1000km split in his multiday career

Ushika Muckenhumer-    1000km- 10+11:52:03

Our Day Leader and Race overall dynamo Andrea Marcato has reached over 70 miles in seven of his first 11 days- quite an impressive start to the relatively young Italian. If he can keep his body free from injury, particularly his legs below the knees right down to his soles of the feet, then he has a chance at a great first time achievement.

Nirbhasa has been very consistent and is moving along very nicely. The webcam has been revealing- seeing runners in various stages of the day, actually shows their overall strength and demeanor.

Ushika caught up to Ananda-Lahari by the end of the day, although I think the 75-mile day 48 hours ago By Mr Zuscin has left some fatigue in the Slovakian legend. Surely he will be back to attack mode, once he gets the inner message.

It is good to see Milan get fit and ready to try to reduce the km/miles deficit he is in. He should reach 1000kms for the first time tomorrow early.

Stay the Course, Runners, and Easy as she goes!!!
