Day 9

The weather was again nice and warm. Just a little rain from 22:15 to 23:00. In the beginning of the day all runners seemed strong and cheerful.

Ushika got very tired before the rain, but did finish the day at midnight with solid 94,9 km.

Ananda-Lahari had one of his "great days" reaching 121 km at 22:38 and going home as the first runner for his well deserved rest, after winning day nine.

Andrea reached 1000 km in 8 Days +16:03:20 and closed the day at midnight with another 114,8 km, fantastico!

Milan found his knee to be up to 80 per cent this morning and ran full of excitement; much too fast and long only to get a minor shin splint above his left ankle.  Luckily he discovered it early and did treat it right away so that he still closed the day with respectable 88,7 km. Bravo Milan!

Nirbhasa is running a very determined and steady race so far reaching again 102,3 km at 23:37. He left the track and was sitting in the car, as fast as possible.

  • Andrea Marcato- 1000km- 8days+16:03:20- PB by 23 hours
  • Ananda-Lahari Zuscin- 500 miles- 8days+09:36:54
  • Ushika Muckenhumer 500 miles- 8days+12:02:39

Runners fitness is arriving as expected. Andrea Marcato set a new personal best for 1000km on his way to another 71+ mile day. Of the nine days completed, he has topped 70+ miles six times.

Ananda-Lahari Zuscin was not only the Day Leader today, his total was the best single day of the Race so far- 121 km / 75+ miles.

Ushika Muckenhumer has gotten stronger, and veteran Nirbhasa Magee is getting to a good level as well. The top four runners should help inspire the newest runner Milan to move along. One thing is for sure - in this race, you cannot allow yourself to get too high, or too low. Consistency will be the forebearer of a fine performance. Plus, there is less discomfort if you can find that perfect pace, and a little extra push to do one more lap. Good luck runners
