2012 Self Transcendence 3100 Mile Race

	Grahak Cunningham, age 35, Perth, Western Australia Grahak has run the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race three times, beginning in 2007 at the invitation of race founder Sri Chinmoy. He ranks 3rd in the world with his performance in 2009 (44 days+09:08:58), where he averaged 69.85 miles (112.42 km) per day. He also holds the Australian record for 3,100 miles and 1,000 miles.
	Sarvagata Ukrainskyi, age 38, Berdyansk, Ukraine Last year, in his first attempt at 3,100 miles, Sarvagata emerged victorious in 44 days+13:38:52, averaging 69.56 miles (111.96 km) per day, which is the fastest first-time performance and gave him a world ranking of 5th for the distance. He ran the Self-Transcendence Ten Day Race in April this year, completing 605 miles. He has been running for 10 years, with seven multi-day races completed.
	Atmavir Spacil, age 33, Zlín, Czech Republic Atmavir has run 12 multi-day races with five finishes in the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race, including his personal best in 2009 of 45 days+03:44:21 in 2009. He is ranked 7th all-time in this event.
	Pranjal Milovnik, age 40, Bratislava, Slovakia A multi-day race veteran, Pranjal has run the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race seven times. His best result to date was in 2010 with a time of 47 days+04:19.49 65.68 miles (105.72 km) per day. In 2005, he completed his first 3,100-Mile Race in 59 days+12:20:48. Since then he has improved by over 11 days, an amazing result. He is ranked 12th in the world ranking for this race.
	Stutisheel Lebedyev, age 42, Kiev, Ukraine Another prolific multi-day race specialist, this is Stutisheel's ninth year racing 3,100 miles. He has completed seven Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Races in his eight previous attempts. His best result is 48 days+12:42:46, an average of 63.88 miles (102.81 km) per day. He is ranked 17th all-time in the race.
	Pushkar Mullauer, age 40, Zurich, Switzerland Pushkar is the Swiss record-holder for 3,100 miles. His best time in the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race is 49 days+02:57:03, ranking him 18th all-time. This is his fourth year participating in the race.
	Ananda-Lahari Zuscin, age 37, Kosice, Slovakia Ananda-Lahari is a five-time finisher of the Self-Transcendence 3,100- Mile Race, with a best of 49 days+14:25:37, which ranks him 19th all-time in the race. This will be his 12th multi-day race and his eighth attempt at 3,100 miles.
	Sopan Tsekov, age 31, Sofia, Bulgaria Bulgaria's finest multi-day race specialist, Sopan was the youngest ever runner to complete 3,100 miles in 2005 at 24 years of age. He has a best of 50 days+13:48:57. He has two finishes to his credit and is ranked 24th all-time in the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race.
	Arpan DeAngelo, age 59, Jamaica, New York, USA Potentially the oldest finisher of 3,100 miles, Arpan will turn 60 years of age in the middle of this year's Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race. In his only previous endeavour at this distance, he finished in 51 days+10:04:37 in 2004. He is ranked 25th all-time in the race. He has run a remarkable 130 individual marathons in his 37 years of running.
	Pradeep Hoogakker, age 34, Den Haag, The Netherlands Last year, in his first attempt in the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race, Pradeep finished in 53 days+09:03:25. He has run six multi-day races and several ultra-marathons in his running career. He is the only runner from the Netherlands to ever finish 3,100 miles, and is ranked 27th all-time in the race.
	Baladev Saraz, age 36, Slovakia This will be Baladev's fourth year racing 3,100 miles. In 2009, he completed the Self-Transcendence 3,100-Mile Race in 54 days+14:26:40. He is ranked 30th all-time in the race.
	Vasu Duzhiy, age 47, St. Petersburg, Russia This will be Vasu's first attempt at 3,100 miles. He has completed 16 ultra-marathons in twelve years of running, with a best of 713 miles in the Self-Transcendence Ten Day Race, which he completed just six weeks prior to the start of this race.

This year's race will have 11 returning runners with one first time runner, Vasu Duzhiy from Russia.
