This impressive time means that he has set new age (60+) world records at every distance from above 1,000 miles to 5,000 km (all records to be confirmed). Yesterday, Ashprihanal Aalto finished his 17th Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race, in a time of 44 days 9:22:13. This year Ashprihanal finished 2nd and he has finished on the podium in every race that he has started, including his world record time of 40 days 9:06:21 (2015) Ashprihanal Aalto is a nine times winner and during his 3100 Mile career has run 52,700 miles around this famous course in Jamaica, Queens, NY.
Ashprihanal was warmly congratulated by all the runners including Andrea Marcato, this year's winner who remarked he enjoyed Ashprihanal's finish more than his own. Ashprihanal has inspired many people who have followed the running exploits of the flying Finn over the past few years.
