Today, again, it was cold for the whole day, around 5 degree Celsius. Hard rain greeted the start from 6-8 am and from 11-12 am. In the afternoon only a little rain persisted, but it became dry in the evening and at night. There were pockets of hail for the second day.

Ananda-Lahari started at 6 am his first lap with a 5 minute pace. He ran (flew) nonstop until reaching 107,4 km.

Having at this extremely high kilometre mark his first break after 13 hours 55 minutes. For the remaining evening he took it a little more easy and closed the day with 121 km at 11:52 pm. Going happily home together with Milan in one car. Let's hope he can do a repeat on day 32!

Andrea had a good day in spite of the rain and closed the day with 113,7 km. A big thanks to Horst from Vienna who is his new handler Ushika made third place today with 96 km. He was full of gratitude when he went home at midnight with his bike.

Milan walked the whole day in a very good mood. He says that our doctor  Rupasena from Vienna helped him a lot and that Rupasena was a perfect complementation to physiotherapist Bernd. Milan is looking forward to the days ahead.

our doctor  Nrishata also arrived today. Both doctors are multi-day runners themselves, what can one possibly wish more for. Milan closed the day 11:47 pm with 75,1 km.

Nrishata worked already on Nirbhasa’s lack of energy. Nirbhasa for the first time in this Race had to walk quite a few laps. He was not able to eat properly. Nevertheless, he managed to cover 91,8 km. Not bad for an off day!

On a lighter note:

Günther who is a regular guest in The Heart of Joy Café and has a lot of Oneness with the runners was suggesting that the runners should do a change with the ‘timing’ because the weather is not good. His suggestion: Run for 6 hours, sleep for 18 hours…!!!

Stats

  • Andrea Marcato- 3500km- 30:15:13:11
  • Ushika Muckenhumer- 3000km- 30:10:17:30
  • Milan Javornicky- 2500km- 30:02:18:50

Three weeks left and the five stalwarts are carrying on, making progress every day, regardless of the cold conditions.

Andrea has less than 1500 km to go, and he has the distinction of having gone over 70 miles (112.7km) in 21 of the 31 days he has run in this race. He is averaging 70.52 miles/ 113.49km per day. Each lap in this journey has been a personal farthest distance run since Day 12, and he is making the most of it. Inspiring.

Nirbhasa is doing what he can and still moving nicely.

Ushika is steady as he goes. In the last 23 days, he has had only one day below par, and only by a lap or two. Marvellous.

Ananda-Lahari again pushes his physical and mental barriers, running 75.2 miles/ 121 km.

Milan passed a personal milestone of 2500km, and still going.

Carry on men, and Godspeed. Eat all that you possibly can! Your bodies are furnaces!
