It was a very nice sunny autumn day in the park.
Already many race-visitors from other cities arrived for the weekend and also more park visitors in general were enjoying the outdoor life and the fresh air in the park. Many children were around. One very young Asian looking boy at about 3 year of age followed Milan for more than hundred metres. Somebody made a beautiful picture with the two ‘boys’.
Andrea celebrated 3000 km in the afternoon. And finished the day at midnight with a great mileage of 73,2 miles (117,8 km).
Which brought him today’s Victory.
At 5 pm we celebrated Priyavadini’s birthday with pasta, pizza and cake.
One had nearly a bad conscience seeing the runners working so hard and us enjoying the feast.
Ushika struggled hard and won the fight reaching 102,2 km at midnight. He discovered that the days with our lucky numbers (27th is Sri Chinmoy’s birth date) can be very difficult for him. But nevertheless with a great end spurt at night he reached a very good result, which brought him 2nd place for the day.
NIrbhasa today was close behind Ushika, reaching 101,2 km at midnight. Very well done in spite of feeling sick and weak in the morning.
Milan had a great morning, nearly pain free; it seemed he surpassed his shin splint problem. But this joy only lasted for 6 hours. Then he asked me to tape his other leg, because the same type of shin problem started there. He had No Comment! His result at 11:36 pm was 84,5 km. Good job Milan!
It seemed that Ananda-Lahari had to pay his penalty for yesterdays’ flying day.
He walked and did rest more. He had a nice little ceremony for reaching half way (1550 miles) in the early evening. Covering 63,6 km at midnight he went home in his regular cheerful mood. His attitude explains his 17 starts of this event since 2004.

The fellas have been on the road for 27 days, and they are still keeping it real. Andrea is doing very well and setting national records along the way.
Nirbhasa has had bouts of stomach issues, and we hope he overcomes them in the final weeks, as he approaches his fourth finish of 3100 miles in the last five years.
Ushika has 18 straight days over 60 miles. He has erased a deficit and built a cushion to rely on in case of a bad day or other setbacks unknown.
Anada-Lahari is 49.8 miles behind pace to finish, but his resolve to continue is admirable if not inspiring. He is surrendered to the moment, but not attached to it, either.
Milan is going through superlong multi-day experiences 2.0, and I hope it does not stifle his vision to eventually reach the Goal. He has definitely earned respect from everyone who follows this race.
