Some rain in the morning, a little harder before midday and, thank God, little rain for the rest of the day.

Today was Ushika’s day! He crossed the 1000-mile landmark in 17 days 14 hours 09 minutes and 18 seconds. He was sincerely happy that the Race is not yet over.

He celebrated the 1000 miles with Mozart choco balls for everybody. He made it up to 1629,9 km covering 102,2 km on day 17. If he keeps the mileage from the last few days he will have a little cushion from tomorrow on.

Andrea performed again in a striking manner. Although being dizzy and tired in the morning he could speed up in the evening and reach again more than 70 miles.113,7 km for Andrea which made him once more the winner of the day.

Milan is struggling with his shin splints, but still covering 81,4 km and calling the day an end at 23:24.

Nirbhasa had a good day and hopes that the first hurdles are taken. He reached 104,3 km at 23:37 and went home happily.

Ananda-Lahari had a painful evening (night). He was walking the whole day covering 77,2 km and heading home at 23:36. He is getting ready for one of his flying days. He already prepared a special drink when the day comes and he can run fast. Let us hope he can run sometime soon!

  • Nirbhasa Magee- 1700km- 16:08:52:30
  • Ushika Muckenhumer- 1000miles- 16:14:09:18

Andrea has reached 70+ miles in six of the last seven days. He is running so well, that tomorrow he will reach 2000km. He looks very fluid on the webcam. If the autumn rains decline for a few days, his feet will heal better, and his fitness is remarkable right now.

Ushika has moved into the positive side of the mileage quest, and seems quite fit and on point with each passing day.

Nirbhasa looks refreshed and ready to go at it with more km in the future per day. His experience is the key- knowing your body and its limits and tendencies, and having experienced just about every situation in the 3100 gives him a clearer look at his overall race, and more importantly, his overall attitude. Carry on Chap.

Milan is a good runner and a warrior. Shin splits happen to everybody- from Messers Aalto and Schwerk to ladies like Suprabha Beckjord, Surasa Meier, and Kaneenika Janakova. From the best to the not so best.

Eventually, you get better and live to run another day.... during the Race.

Ananda-Lahari knows his body and mind. Let's hope everything works as a team for him tomorrow, else his race may dry up on the tarmac. Still, five weeks to go.

Go chaps, and don’t forget to eat- today. You are not just eating for today, but also for the next day as well.

Give your body fuel.
