Very nice sunny Sunday.

Many people in the park. We still had many visiting friends, jogging, playing music and helping at the Race.

Andrea was still inspired by his friends from Italy. Nivedak brought him supplements which might have helped him to go fast during the day.

At night he got tired and had a couple of 10 min breaks. In total he had four 10 minute breaks and covered 118,9 km, which made him winner of Day 15.

He reached for the first time in his career 1000 miles. All Joy!

Sri Chinmoy had in the 90's a 'September multi-day event" which he called the Sri Chinmoy 700/ 1000/1300 Mile Ultra-Trio.

In this Race for the 1000 Miler men had 15 days time to complete it ( woman 16 days ). Well done Andrea you made it!

Nirbhasa had a tired day. For some reason he felt exhausted. Maybe he is still adjusting to the Race. He went home at 22:50 reaching 99,1 km.

Ananda-Lahari had, after two days of walking, one of his flying days. He looked happy and energetic, which shows in the mileage. He is inspired to consume more sugar. He seems to live on sugar on his fast days. Today he covered 117,9 km and went home at 23:50. This huge mileage brought him second place on day 15.

Milan had a nice day enjoying the company of quite a few Czech friends. His shin splint is swollen but he has not much pain. Still he took it easy and walked more, covering 89,7 km and beaming with light.

Ushika had another great 'Jay Guru' day and covered 101,2 km.- his best day after day 1. He looked happy and loves ice cream. Almost as much as running lone distances!

Stats

  • Andrea Marcato- 1000miles- 14 days+05:20:20-National record - Bravissimo Senor! (old record-14:07:23:08-Lucio Bazzana-in Athens, 2010)
  • Nirbhasa Magee- 1500km-14+08:07:21         hey, Nirbhasa, please eat more, as if your life depended on it,..... because it does!

Ananda-Lahari climbed back up to within three miles of even par for the Race. Ushika is three miles behind of the Slovakian runner, so the two gents seem to be helping each other out with a faint ’cat and mouse game’, or the short story of the two gentlemen entering a room at the same time-‘Oh, you go first’ Oh no, you go first’, and so on.

But in reality, they are both real gentlemen. Good luck runners, 37 days of more fun to go! Keep going Milan- soon you too, will reach 1000 miles.
