Tejvan organises short-distance running and cycling races for the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in his home city of Oxford. He is also a very good cyclist, having won the National hill climb championships in 2013 and finished 3rd in the National 100 Mile Time Trials in 2014.
Radu finishes in a new Moldovan record
At around 5 pm yesterday, Radu Budan finished the Sri Chinmoy 3,100-mile race. He is the second finisher this year, and his time was 46 days, 10 hours, 59 minutes and 38 seconds.
It was Radu’s second finish. In his first race, in 2024, he ran 47 days 05:58:18 — so this year represents an improvement of almost 19 hours.
Along the way he set new Moldovan national records at every distance above 1,000 miles. (All TBC on final scrutiny.)
Ambassador Gheorghe Leuca, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations, was present to congratulate Radu on his achievement.
