The top three men were the only runners to crest 60 miles again, led this time by overall leader Atmavir Petr Spacil with 65.85 miles. The bright sun and infrequent cloud cover forced the already weary ten runners to maintain their own health profile, on a day before the real 'heatwave' is expected to arrive. The first six are still on pace to finish, but cushions of miles are fading, much like their body fat and total weight after 33 days on the road. If they can survive the next five days, then a finish is assured. We shall see who is smart, fit, and lucky. Good luck to all runners out there.
