Day 45  Vasu Duzhiy,49, from St Petersburg,Russia finished in third place today in a personal best time of 44 days+06:10:42, which makes him the fifth fastest man in history. He averaged 70.049 miles (112.732 km) per day. Vasu improved his previous best by over two days and 22 hours. He has now finished the longest footrace four times.

Ukrainian Yuri Trostenyuk is close to finishing wednesday in the late evening (10:30 pm). He ran 70.79 miles today in heat and humidity as temps touched the low 90ºs. Only 60.91 miles await the humble man from Vinnitsa. A rejuvenated Atmavir Spacil took day honors with 71.34  miles, his third 70+ day in a row. Surasa Mairer reached 64.75 miles and is locked into a great rhythm these past few weeks. She is ahead of women's record pace by 17 miles and gaining each day.
